Dark Eye Circle Surgery: Remove the Dreadful Dark Circles with Ease

Dark circles under the eyes (under the reduced eyelids) affect many individuals making them look tired, exhausted and much older than they are. These are also a combination of cultural pigmentation, epidermis depth, vascularity (bloodstream vessels), and other factors such as allergies. The thin skin of the eyelid which is the thinnest epidermis on the human body makes the darker muscle mass as well as the bloodstream vessels underneath the epidermis more visible.

The most common cause of dark circles under the lower eyelids is the displacement of fat over the orbital rim. This hollowness causes shadowing leading to dark circles in both men and women. Skin pigmentation can also lead to dark circles. Additionally, prolonged hours under the sun may give rise to dark circles. However, proper nourishment, balanced sleep, and good skin care are the best ways to avoid dark circles from occurring in the first place, especially if one is genetically predisposed to have them.

Under-eye dark circles are typically caused by a deep tear trough deformity. The tear trough is a depression extending from the inner edge of the eye which moves diagonally towards the cheek. This depression occurs where the facial fat has thinned away and dropped down into the cheeks. The bone tissue of the eye socket is placed right below the epidermis, and the two are well-connected to each other. As the epidermis above and below age and modify, this area becomes even darker.

Modern cosmetic treatments can effectively eliminate and in some cases, reduce dark circles using various treatment procedures depending on the cause.

Phototherapy: Phototherapy involves the use of intense pulsed light and some laser therapies including Medlite and Nd YAG laser that are highly effective in lightening the epidermis pigmentation and tightening the epidermis in the region underneath the eye. This might be preceded by usage of topical epidermis lightening cream and a brief course of oral retinoic acid tablets to optimize the overall impact. One must keep in mind that the procedure must be conducted by a highly-experienced cosmetologist.

Dermal Fillers: Facial fillers or Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers such as Juvederm, Restylane, and Esthelis are well-matched to deal with the tear trough region when the major concern is the loss of facial fat volume. The underneath eye area is filled with hyaluronic acid injections. It is a substance that can be compared to the building blocks of normal collagen and helps an individual to come up with a brand new youthful look. The effect of such dermal fillers is not permanent it only lasts for 18 to 24 months.

How to Find Top Oculoplastic Surgeons in India

Oculoplastic surgery is reconstructive surgery of the eyelids, the orbit, and the tear system of the eye, and the face. It is a special area of ophthalmology that requires the specialist doctor—called an ophthalmologist—to go through additional training. It can be challenging to find and choose an oculoplastic surgeon in India, but there are certain steps you can follow to verify one's expertise and experience in performing eyelid surgery. The best time to start looking for this type of doctor is when you are experiencing certain cosmetic issues on your face, and if you are suffering from discomfort, poor vision, and other issues due to droopy eyelids.

In choosing an oculoplastic surgeon, be sure that the ophthalmologist has completed an approved and globally recognized fellowship training program. Surgeons must be meticulously trained in reconstructive and cosmetic eyelid and facial surgery in a two-year fellowship. They must specialize in oculoplasty and facial plastic and cosmetic surgeries in India, too. On average, an oculoplastic surgeon must have spent six years in training of eyelids eyes. This way, you can be sure that you are consulting with an expert when you are consulting with a qualified oculoplastic surgeon in India.

Oculoplastic surgeons can treat and repair droopy eyelids, facial bone and orbital fractures, blocked tear ducts, and facial and eye tumors. They are qualified to perform rejuvenation and cosmetic procedures like brow lifts, eyelid lifts, nasal reshaping, laser resurfacing, and liposuction, too. Skilled surgeons are adept in successful eyelash transplants and in performing minimally invasive procedures like wrinkle fillers and Botox.

Always consider the training of the surgeon to determine his expertise. Consider an oculoplastic surgeon who is well-known in India and has won several awards to prove his skill and experience. Some of the best surgeons have their own clinics and treatment centers in India, and they have contributed to discovering, developing, and introducing innovative treatments for various conditions.
